Jade Connection (Catalog Collection)

BRIEF

The Jade Collection Book was a research and design project focused on exploring the cultural significance, history, and aesthetic qualities of jade. The challenge was to translate both academic research and personal visual documentation into a thoughtfully designed book that balanced information with visual storytelling. 

SOLUTION

I designed a printed catalog that combined written essays with original photography of jade objects. Every design decision from book size and layout to typography and color palette was chosen to highlight the timeless nature of jade. The design emphasized clarity and elegance, allowing the cultural depth of the subject matter and the beauty of the photographed objects to take center stage.
